Face 2 Face

Face 2 Face is the debut solo studio album by Nigerian artist 2Face Idibia (now known as 2Baba), released on May 15, 2004, under Kennis Music.

Following his departure from the R&B group Plantashun Boiz, the album effectively launched his solo career and became a monumental commercial success, selling over two million copies in Nigeria before spreading across Africa and Europe.

Produced primarily by OJB Jezreel, the album blends Afropop, R&B and hiphop. It is widely considered a cultural reset and a blueprint for the global Afrobeats movement, largely driven by its massive acoustic breakout hit, “African Queen”, alongside other defining tracks like “Nfana Ibaga (No Problem)” and “Ole (Thief)”.
