Bobai Balat, professionally known as DJ Bally, is a Nigerian disc jockey, record producer and reality television personality widely recognized for pioneering a fusion of Afrobeats and Electronic Dance Music (EDM).

Born on October 4, 1988, in Kaduna State, Nigeria, Bally grew up exposed to a diverse array of musical genres before relocating to Abuja at age 10. He began DJing and experimenting with music production while studying at Purdue University in the United States, before eventually returning to Nigeria to earn a degree in Economics from the American University of Nigeria (AUN).

Career Highlights
Music Production: Known for blending contemporary African rhythms with EDM and trap synth sounds, Bally has released a string of successful mashups, remixes and original tracks, including his 2015 debut single “Ali”. He has been affiliated with Aristokrat Records.

DJing & Broadcasting: He was the founding DJ of the Grotto Fashion Club in Abuja and has held club residencies globally. He is also known for hosting the weekly “MashUp Mondays” segment on Lagos’s The Beat 99.9 FM.
Television: Bally gained significant mainstream popularity in 2017 as a housemate on the hit reality show Big Brother Naija.

Acting: A graduate of the Royal Arts Academy in Surulere, Lagos, he has appeared in various short films and stage plays.
